Tivo Hard Drive Upgrade II

Don’t touch the power supple on the Tivo when you have the case open, that’s always good advice for any electronics that your taking apart.

Now I am guessing that expand command must not have worked for me.

Issue expand command
Issue the following command:
mfsadd -r 4 -x /dev/hdX /dev/hdZ

And I am going to try it again to see if it will work this time.
Have to find my Tivo cd that I used last time…
Ok have my sony SVR2000 disk, with MFS Tools Backup.

So I am ready to take the hard drives out of my computer and put the ones from the Tivo in there.  I had a long IDE cable that I used to use, so I could just set the 2 cases next to each other and reach the cable across, that saved a lot of time, but I have no idea where it is, and it's probably faster to just take out the drives than to waste a lot of time looking for it.  But it did come in handy.
