RCV HydroForm Notes:

After watching some more videos of how people fly their planes, I now realize that transmitter that came with my RCV is going to be almost useless.

Several times it has lost the connection when the hydro was only about 50 or 60 feet away.  Since I have only been driving it on the ground it’s usually not that big of a problem,

One time it quit in the middle of the street when a car was coming and I had to run out and get it out of the way while the person stopped and waited.

Now I try to keep it to the side of the road when it is more than about 20 feet away incase it cuts out again.

But for flying this would be useless.

I also just realized that the tail section has been busted in two.  It is still holding together but it needs to be repaired before it gets worse.

I am not sure about the ailerons, they quit working after about the 8th time I used it, I should have help count to be more precise.

But it looks like I will need to replace some of the electronics in it anyway, and probably get a new transmitter and receiver for it.

I am still very excited about the hydrofoam idea, but I would say that the RCV hydrofoam I bought was disappointing.

If you were expecting to buy it and just use it, then you would be very disappointed.

I am looking at is as a learning step, I was hopping I would get a little more mileage out of it, but with some replacement parts I hope to learn some more from it.

My original idea that I would just buy 2 or 3 of them I think is faulty, because I have 2 major problems with it in less than a week.

So even at $110 it’s just overpriced for the use I got out of it.
