RCV HydroFoam Arrived Today,

My RCV HydroFoam arrived by UPS today, so it was pretty exciting even if everyone says they are not happy with it.
As long as it starts up and runs a little, I will be happy, so my expectations are very low.
It looks to be packed very well, taking it out of the packing I can see what the problem is.
The HydroFoam is made of very thing styrofoam, I would say a drop from a couple feet could easily do some major damage to it.
I dropped my mini XPV from about 5 feet onto the concrete and I remember thinking, “oh, this could be bad”, but it just bounced and landed on the concrete with absolutely no damage at all.
The RCV looks like it could be damaged from any drop even 1 or 2 feet if it landed wrong, the body came with a couple of creases in the top of it, probably where someone was not as careful as they should have been.
This stuff is extremely delicate looking.
It looks like the trick is going to be to learn to fly and never crash.
The instructions are very complicated and not exactly clear, it says a couple different things.
The “Normal Startup Procedure” has 12 steps to it, not sure I can remember to do all that each time.
I am going to just start it up and see if it works, hopefully the default setting are good enough to at least get it running.
It has settings for HiMh, Li-ion and Li-Poly
I am pretty sure I have the third one, but not sure how it is set.
I might try and see if I can get it to program that first.
The instructions say “charge battery pack for about 1.5 hours until it’s warm”
I thought this was kind of funny, I guess I could sit there with it in my hand for an hour and see when it get’s warm. Ha ha.
The first problem I am going to have to change, is the 4 screws that hold down the cover to the battery compartment. They took me about 2 minutes to get out, and are a pain.
I can’t see myself doing this every time I want to take the battery out. So they have got to go, not sure at the moment how I am going to replace them, trying to figure out some way to use dental floss or rubber bands to keep the top on.
