Radio Controlled Helicopter II
I have had my helicopter for a couple days now and I guess it is a little easier to fly than a real helicopter, but not a lot.
At first I thought it was the most fragile looking toy ever, but now I have a little more respect for it, after flying it into the wall several dozen times, I have to say that he really holds up pretty well.
My first mistake was trying to fly, I assumed I would just start zipping around the room.
Wrong….
The first thing you need to do when you get one of these is be prepared to spend a lot of time trying not to crash and or destroy your helicopter.
The trick is to learn to fly before you damage it to the point where it won’t fly anymore.
The best way I found was to place it in the center of my bed, first I make sure that the sheet is very smooth with no large wrinkles.
Then practice just taking off flying up about a foot and then try to get it back down with out crashing. Make several dozen 3 to 5 second flights before you even consider anything else.
Then after a couple days of this I noticed that I am starting to get to the point where I can get it to hover for 5 or 10 seconds, and I can think about which direction it is facing.
But the main thing is to just take off and then land before it makes it over the side of your bed, don’t even touch the right control that moves you forward, back, left, and right.
Just use the power and take off then land before it goes anywhere near a wall or the edge of your bed.
That’s my advice on how to learn to fly without destroying your radio controlled helicopter. GOOGLE ADSENSE
