Very excited about getting my Miss Hydro 2.0 today.

The Hydrofoam looks very well built, the first thing I noticed is that the engine sits farther forward and the compartment that holds the battery is farther to the rear.

The charger that comes with it has to alligator clips to connecting to a 12 volt power supply.

I don’t really want to go out and hook it up to my car, so I need to see about getting some kind of ac/dc 12 volt power converter.

The second problem I ran into was the battery was wedged into the little compartment and there was no way to remove it.

If and when I ever get it out I can wrap some dental floss around it and then have something to easily pull it out but as of now it’s really stuck.

I cut the top of the cab off but that really didn’t help much at all, still no room to grab a hold of it.  I am going to try and get some small piece of plastic or wood and put inside the open area of the battery and see if I can pry it out that way.

I tried pulling on the battery wires, but it didn’t budge and I was a little concerned about pulling too hard.

If nothing else works, I am going to try to glue a small handle on the end of the battery and then grab a hold of it and pull it out with that.

The radio has those metal knobs with the barbed ends that I don’t really like, I guess if you don’t mind the pain then you don’t ever have to worry about it slipping out of your hand.

I will tape those up like I did on my last transmitter.

I kind of liked the battery meter that the last one had, this one just has a red light that comes on, so when the battery gets low you don’t really have much of a way to know.

I found a 12 volt power converter but it is only 300 mA and the instructions say that the input is 11.5 – 13.5 volts and 1500 mA, so I am a little concerned that somehow the charger will not work properly or the converter will not work right and one of them will overheat or the battery will explode in a huge fire ball like the ones you see on youtube.

Today I also ran across a website where the guy had divided up the planes that he had into two groups,

The planes he still had and the ones that he had gotten rid of, I thought this was a good idea so I am going to try and create a page like that.
