ebay store for Heads-Up-RC
ok, I think I am starting to figure some of this radio stuff out, you buy a receiver like this to put in your plane
http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=HRC25572
then you buy a crystal like this
http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=HRC6647236
and put it in your radio and they work together.
actually the one for my transmitter is this one
http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=HRC6647250
channel 50 72.790 MHz
use towerpro 9 gram servos in everything, and use the hitec h-55s and hs56 servos
ebay FOUR-SERVOS-TP-SG90-9-gram
If you will use LiPos, get an ESC with a 3.0 V/cell or higher cutoff as one of the available settings, and use it.
Found one of the transmitters I have
http://www.sapac.com.cn/producte.asp?LarCode=Transmitter&action=2
the manual for the B version does not work, but I downloaded the A version which seems to be mostly the same.
Spektrum DX6 DSM 6Ch Park Flyer Radio System, 4 S75 Servos, AR600 Receiver $199
Spektrum DX7 2.4GHz DSM2 7Ch Airplane Radio System, 4-DS821 Servos, AR7000 Receiver $349
SAPAC or WFLY 4 channel radio [FT06-B] Compatible with Futaba product radio range can reach 400m or more

Sapac site - http://www.rztec.se/Datablad/FT06-A.pdf
Also found several sites from China saying they could produce these transmitters, so high chance they are knock offs.
Hitec and Futaba are negative shift
Not much information on this transmitter.
I see a lot of transmitters say airplane or helicopter also Model 1 ( throttle on right hand) and Model 2 ( throttle on left hand )
Futaba compatible receiver such as Feigao receiver, E-sky receiver
Mode 1 and Mode 2 have to do with which side the throttle is on.
TX and RX are just abbreviations for Transmitter and Receiver.

just bought a 2409-12T motor and 32 amp ESC a prop saver, and a motor mount from http://stores.ebay.com/Heads-Up-RC
now I just need to figure out how these receivers work, and try and figure out if I am going to buy a new transmitter or keep the one I have and try and buy a receiver to match it.
I also found a wire that was broken on my RCV hydro so tomorrow I am going to have someone solder it back on for me, and then it might work again.
Hitec Dual Conversion Crystal Included, just specify channel (11~60) with payment – I don’t understand this, I need to figure out what this means?
I just figured out that each transmitter comes with a removable crystal, and the receiver also has a removable crystal in it also.
I was just about to buy a receiver when I read that it did not come with the crystal, I thought they were talking about the crystal in my transmitter which I already have, but they were talking about the 2nd crystal in the receiver which I don’t have.
The crystals come in all different frequencies also, like 75.730 75.750 75.770 75.790 and so on…
I just realized something else, I have been thinking that I would buy a receiver that would match my transmitter, well there are dozens of 75 mhz crystals, so even in the receiver did happen to have a crystal in it, it wouldn’t match my transmitter anyway. So it would be worthless unless I bought another crystal for my transmitter to match. Which would defeat the whole purpose of having one transmitter run several different planes.
Now I am thinking with the motor mount I bought, I can put the stick in the current motor mount I have and this will make the motor sit up higher and closer to the front which would probably be a good thing anyway.
I will have to take some pictures when I get the new motor mount to show the details of what I am talking about.
I didn’t buy servos and I need 2 of them for my new plane,

I need to remember to order the servo arm easy connectors also…

The transmitter crystal has a tag that reads TX50 type 72.790 The back side says TDF FM-TX
Ok, it looks like channel 50 is 72.790 MHz Also, the transmitter tag would say TX, the receiver crystal tag would say RX
Narrow-band ? Don’t know if this is true but ran across this statement: All PPM/FM and PCM/FM transmitters are narrowband. If you have an FM (PPM) transmitter, you can use it with either single or dual conversion receivers, PPM means Pulse Position Modulation.
PCM uses a form of coded FM.
With a Futaba Transmitter – you do NOT have to use a Futaba RX as long as channels and shift patterns match.
You can use other brands such as Hitec, Corona, JR, etc.
Older Futaba receivers are divided between high and low band depending on what channel you are on.
Most any negative shift or shift-selectable receiver will work, although older Futaba receiver s are divided into Low (11 through 35) or High (36 through 60) band. You can use Hobbico, Tower Hobbies, Futaba, or most Hitec receiver s. JR makes a few shift selectable receiver s. Berg and GWS micro receiver s will work, as will the GWS dual channel full range receivers. GWS micro receivers are made in different versions for JR or Futaba based on positive or negative shift. Cirrus and Corona shift-selectable receivers will work.
I have never seen an Airtronics receiver that is compatible with a 72mhz Futaba transmitter. A number of Airtronics transmitters are shift selectable, however, and will work with Futaba receiver s.
There are 3 main types of R/C crystal. These are Transmitter crystals, Single Conversion receiver crystals and Dual Conversion receiver crystals, commonly called Tx, SC Rx and DC Rx for short.
The different manufacturers sometimes use different specifications for their crystals so the only safe advice when you are changing a crystal is to use one sold or recommended by the equipment manufacturer. Hitec equipment, Hitec Crystal, JR equipment, JR crystal, Futaba....you get the picture. Some aftermarket manufacturers don't sell their own crystals but say to use a Futaba or other make crystal.
Note: the crystal you use in a receiver is not affected in any way by the make of transmitter you are going to use it with. If it is a Hitec Rx it uses a Hitec crystal no matter if you're going to use a Futaba/JR/Hitec/Sanwa/Airtronics transmitter with it
It looks like this receiver will work with my transmitter and it has a range of a mile, and is a auto shift, it sells for $23.99 http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGZT0&P=7
but I also have to buy the crystal that matches this receiver. My transmitter is channel 50 so this one should work for $7.99
